was just wondering if you could change every wooden insert found in the interior of these cars and also where would one recommend sourcing the trim pieces from. (websites would be very nice).

yes it is possible to change the inserts, you just need a screw driver and a bit of leverage, you can get things like carbon trims to replace them from your dealer, otherwise you can go to a BMW scrapper and take the trims of that car.
Thanks for that. i was looking at the 6 in particular and noticed that the M6 comes with nice black carbon fibre weave or a piano black wood trim which i think looks much nicer.
