Question for those who have driven their Astons on the continent. Did you get your headlights realigned for driving on the right? I think it's obligatory in France n'est-ce pas? I rang HWM who'd never done it though. Anyone got any ideas - is it easy? I'm guessing the lens shape of the headlights precludes fitting Halfords correcting lenses etc.

thanks Bogie. i just checked - apparently it is a compulsory legal requirement in almost all of europe, inc france. normally i'd just say 'pah' but from all that i'm hearing, the French have become extremely keen on nicking UK drivers and hitting them with fines for anything they can. so i'd like to give them one less excuse to do so. HWM said it will take 4 hours labour to change them to a continental angle!!!! which sounds crazy.

IIRC you need to twist the reflector, which means getting behind the light units, which means taking the (front) wheels off.

I've been driving abroad for a while and taken the same stance as continental drivers do over here....and never had trouble with the feds.

Same here - Iv never adjusted the headlamps on any car Iv taken to the Continental mass but do avoid driving in the dark if possible. I do, however keep a pack of those self adhesive stick on efforts in the boot in case the Polizei stop me...
