How to change my digital speedo from KM/H to MPH?

Hello

I have an 04 facelift C-Class C180K Coupe.

It has a dashboard.

In the middle of the dashboard is a little vertical screen.

It displays much information including speed but only in KM/H.

I've used the buttons on the steering wheel etc. and checked the manual but cannot change this to MPH.

Even the garage can't do it.

One small thing is that in the manual it says changing from KM/H to MPH mode only affects the trip meter/odometer for UK cars. Why not the speedo? It's driving me nuts - everytime I see a speedcamera I need to remember to do 48KM/H! I can use the normal MPH analog dial but I prefer to have an instant digital reading.

Was wondering if anyone knew of a way of doing it or if it is even possible?

I think it is a legal requirement (EU rule I imagine) that cars sold in the UK must have a speedo that displays in MPH and KPH, usually this is done by a sub range on the dial showing KPH as Mercs don't have this the digital readout it is. Same on my 05 C class and can't be changed easily

You need to talk to Richard at Comand in Surrey. They almost as much as MB themselves on the Comand system (if not more in some respects). They've taken off the UK mode block on my dashboard so that the status line can display outside temperature rather than km/h. I believe this might allow the status line to display speed in mp/h.

I can now use the larger, higher display area for speed (switching the units for abroad).

There is a UK requirement, but MB misinterpret it. You( or someone with the right gear) can reprogram the system to show something useful there (like temp and have it switchable to KM/H).

Irritates me, and I haven't got round to changing it yet.

Yes it annoys me that compared to the older C class the dashboard has been despecced. I was hoping when I looked at a CLC they'd sort it out, instead they just put some chequered graphics on the dials.
