Will a 255x35 tyre on a 18"wheel fit on a E36 M3 without any rubbing?

It all depends on the offset.

If it's any less than 35 you're probably likely to run into problems.

I had 18" Genuine Schintzers with 255/35/18 on the rear (with coilovers wound down) and they didnt rub once and the arches were standard.

Becuae you had the correct offset of >35ET
