Flaking underseal !

Have any of you got this problem........The underseal flaking off from under the rear wheel arches?
Yes i bet you have!! because i know of a least six TVR's that are less than six months old with this happening.
So here,s what you do....get it back to the dealer and tell them that you want the underseal "sanded" back to the Gel coat, because if they paint it again without etching the surface, the same thing will happen again!!!!.
Because that is exactly what happened to mine.
the reason is as follows....the mold is prepared using a mold release agent..ie silicone/mirror glaze/etc in the molding process,and every time a molding(the car) is "pulled" from the mold, it takes with it a certain amount of this release agent,therefore making the molding(the car)itself almost a mold!!(hope you are keeping up so far).
So the underseal is painted/sprayed on to a non stick surface,well i think i need explain no further what happens.
let me know on here if you have had this problem.

Its not rocket science to realise paint dont stick to greasy surfaces

Underseal? Sorry Valhalla, my wheel arches are: plastic/paint/armourfend.
