Just read the (now closed) thread about Mole Valley.
Not wishing to start THAT ball rolling again, but last weekend I re-visited the TVR web site (quite a painful experience - who the hell designed it - and why on earth do TVR stick with it?) and had a 'wander' around all the listed dealers and noticed that my dealer has 'vanished' from the list! Naturally, I've asked them why, but no concrete answer yet.
Interestingly only a couple dealers bother to mention the T350 and only one acknowledges the targa version! If they can't be bothered to keep their sites up to date why bother at all????
I know the dealer network will constantly be in a state of change, but it doesn't do us - the customer - any good if all the technical knowledge disappears. In my seven years of TVR ownership (4 cars) I've dealt with 4 different dealers - and only one (the one now missing from the web site list) constantly comes up trumps every time for fantastic service! 2 of the others are no longer dealers - Portfields and Brooklands - and the 4th is a new(ish) dealer, who managed to put the wrong oil in my car at the 1000 mile service!
Come on TVR, support the dealers who are looking after the customer, because we need the confidence that our problems WILL be sorted by dealers who care and know what they're doing! Until TVR can properly finish a car BEFORE it leaves the factory they definitely need a 'tight' network of experienced dealers who will keep a loyal customer base who will stick with the marque.
