I wonder what my inspiration was... wink

Mind if I have a poke around at Snetterton, so I know what number 24 is supposed to look like???

I have always wanted one of these, I am seriously jealous.

I have seen it for sale in the past though. What is the mileage? What is the overall condition of the bodywork etc?

Please get rid of those wheels and put a set of the original 16" BBS alloys back on though, they really do finish the car off!

It is a beautiful piece of kit and I hope you have many miles of happy driving in her!

Shes done 190k but with stacks of history and although i havent seen her in the metal yet im reliably informed by members of another forum shes in great shape!

Those wheels are on there cos their the only ones which fit over the massive AP brake upgrade (330mm grooved discs) which make her stop as well as she go's!

Sounds very nice then! As long as they are looked after they will cover a huge mileage.

Are the original wheels still with the car? If they are and you are willing to part with them I would be willing to make a nice offer.

I've got the original BBS wheels on mine, which tbh I haven't decided on the future of. If I decide to get rid, you'll be the first to know.

That's a shame. If you do happen to see any for sale, I would really appreciate it if you could let me know. I saw some on Ebay Germany a couple of years back and stupidly didn't buy them ( the full set went for about 300 pounds) and I'm having difficulty tracking a set down for my current 'project'.

Fantastic choice, well done!

The wheels look suspiciously like E34 M5 or 850 CSi 'Throwing Stars' with the centre trim removed.

Rob, I have an original 16" BBS wheel (sans centre cap) sat in my garage. What offset is the E28? If it fits, do you want to make an offer? Mine is ET20 if that's any good?

ETA - What a beautiful machine, congrats on the purchase and good luck with it!

I seem to recall that E28 M5 wheels are ET20 and the E30 M3 Evo wheels are 23mm offset. Beautiful M5 btw!

Hi Rob! Long time no hear mate. ET20 is indeed the correct offset (as has been mentioned), I'll give you a bell later if you're about (you still on the same number?)?

Is this the e28 M5 shown on M5Board.com that has had a spin into a lampost ?
If so, hope you are ok.
Is the car fixable ?

Same one, and is shortly to begin the repair process.
