Car no. 24 of 187, getting delivered on Saturday. No tax or test, and lots of bodywork needing doing. Currently just about run in at 251k miles. My new project, cannot wait!

Definatly have a poke round at Snetterton or join me poking round Jam172's to find out what both of ours should look like!

I think he's taking one of his M5s to Brands tomorrow night, so going to start making notes then.

I have ached for an E28 M5 since I was but a nipper. Everybody else wanted the M635CSi, but those in the 'know' know better, these are lighter, quicker and better handling than their weightier siblings and far rarer.

I want one!

What an awesome project! I would love to tinker with a machine like that.

I know where there's another one for sale that has been off the road for a number of years...

Bob I'll email you his number on Saturday (when I get my phone back). It isn't actually advertised anywhere, so you won't miss out on it. Dolphin grey without the bodykit, 125k miles...

I would seriously consider taking one on as a project. These are rare cars and worth saving. I would even sell my current M535i to do it.

I have always loved the E28 M5.

Cheers Dan, it sounds perfect. I'd love to give him a bell and find out more about the car.

That'll look brilliant when you finish it - possibly the most Q-car of all the M5's?
