E36 SMG GEAR SELECTION PROBLEMS

ONCE AGAIN I HAVE GEAR SELECTION PROBLEMS AGAIN NAMLY 2 AND 6 HAVE GONE , I HAD A SIMILER PROB BEFORE AND UPON TAKING IT TO LOCAL (EXPENSIVE) DEALER THEY RECTIFIED IT AND SAID IT WAS A FAULTY MULTIPLUG CONNECTION, HAS ANY ONE HAD SIMILER PROBLEMS THEMSELVES THAT HAVE RECTIFIED IT WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A COSTLY TRIP TO THE LOCAL FRANCHISE?
May i point you in THIS DIRECTION sir. It makes a lot of sense and is well worth it. My car has not played up one bit ever since the convertion !!
When mine was playing up in a fashon a bit simlar to yours we, indi's & I, never really got to the root of the problem as sometimes the cause was one thing then another. Pretty much all of the system was changed at some point or another. A very troublesome system.

I am waiting to see how you do it before I attempt anything like it.
