Does anyone here have any experience of a 335 convertible. What's it like to drive? handling? comfort? road noise?

Any experiences?

Driven the 330 convertible. Amazing car.
If your considering a 335, why not just go for an M3?
M3 is a performance car and has maintenance costs that you'd expect of a performance car. 335 is just a family coupe therefore is more suited to those with less diposable income.

If cost isn't an issue then there is no way that you'd go for the 335 over an M3.

Give them both a test drive and see what you think thumbup

I think I want something a little softer than an M5. Had the M5 for 170k and I am planning into the mid term for a change. I will wait until they get to around 20k ish and then take a shuftie. Will probably get an SE as opposed to the sport. Maybe it's a getting older thing but the ride is becoming more of a priority than the handling.

(i'll hand in my PH 'badge' at the door on my way out )

Im sure the SE won't even be THAT bad in the handling department.

Could you explain what it is about the 0-60 in 5.something and 0-100 in 13.something that isn't 'performance' about the 306bhp 335i?

All 335i have sport suspension anyway afaik. Just tyre profile different. You can feel the weight, but if you just want to cruise about, the 330i makes as good a buy.

theres a couple of 335s in my local dealership that might tempt me out of the e46 330ci. from what the spec says it seems an awful lot of performance for the economy the engine provides... like 30mpg combined. thats whats putting me off getting my nuts out to step into the M3 because i think it will get boring filling it up
