Blue tooth pairing

Trying to connect my nokia 6300 to my 54 plate X5. Managed to get the phone to find the cars device which comes up as bmw 35435, then I enter the 4 digit pass code which came with car, it just keeps coming up as pairing failed. Has anyone got any ideas, all help much appreciated, many thanks.

what phone are you trying to connect? Do you know if it is compatible?
