cabin gets nice and warm, so heater works OK - trouble is, freezing cold feet.

Any suggestions?

Check the steering pod air duct has not parted from its hose so that the hose is directing cold air onto your tootsies...

I get the same thing, I think the cold air comes in around the accelerator peddle, but it's difficult to check whilst driving! Not sure what the best thing to use to block up any holes would be?

I get cold air on my right hand which comes up from the feet-le area. It seems to be coming from the bottom of the door seal in my case.

feels like its coming in around the pedal box - it's not from a disconnected cold air supply to the steering wheel, and doesn't seem to be coming from under the door - can't see any holes around the pedals either - I guess I'll have to stuff a towel or some sort of insulation around the top of the pedals - that or get out the tartan travel rug!!!!

I think it's a fairly commen problem with Cerbs. In the summer it's great, but in the winter, it does get a bit cold ! It's usually holes from the engine bay/wheel arch. Remove carpet & apply large quantities of black mastic to any seal/hole/seam.....

There are two cold feeds
1) from the steering wheel
and 2) from a vent by the right leg.
Both can be turned off.

I have found a hole, about the size of 10p, in the bulkhead near the right-hand side. I think its for a pipe that was never fitted or routed elsewhere. To get to it go headfirst into the driver’s foot well and look up towards the top of the pedal box. If you have the bonnet open you should see daylight pouring through. Cover it with Tank Tape or sealant. I am not saying that yours will be the same but worth a go.

Mine had a similar chilled feet effect that I tracked down to a split in the flexible ducting from the splitter box to the steering wheel outlet. The duct had rubbed through from contact with part of the steering column. Remedy was simple: duck tape the split and tie-wrap the duct out of harms way.

Hope this helps.

cerbs also generally suffer cold draughts because the cold air feed comes through the driver side wing, the heater fan box isn't well sealed and air leaks around the fan unit and mounting panel into the footwell area. Blocking off any gaps is a good idea, but best remedy is to block the inner wing and do a recirculate air mod on the ventilation system.

Do you think this maybe causing the fumey smell i get in the car? I think the smell i get is caused from the rubber air intake pipes on top of the engine (4.5 lump) when the engine has become warm.(I have stuck my head under the bonnet and had a 'sniif-around'!) I notice that these rubber pipes have some brownish colouring to them as well...i presume this is normal 'heat' stains?
