Has anyone any tips on the fitting of the front grill rubber as I have to fit a new one and I believe that they can be a bit trickey.
Cheers.

Can be, but the more you do it the easier it becomes
I think the rubber should be pinned in the apperture but I don't think many are and the grill will hold it in place anyway.
The rubber will be easier to work if it's warm and the grill slides in from one side and then pops into place after much swearing and the removeal of the skin from your knucles
Best tool to use is something flat and blunt, and if you've got any some silicon grease will ease it on it's way, failing that I s'pose you could use any household lubricant

It's also described in the bible. Use lots of lubrication and masking tape to protect the body shoul your instrument of choice slips...

IIRC there have been a few topics on here about grille refitting. All I do is remove the two screws and it falls out! May be mine has been "cut down" a little? Anyway, no help to you at all - sorry!

cheers Alan - I got confused because my Grille & the rubber come off together, I gues others must have the rubber seal fixed & you insert the mesh?

It's been off & on today - fitted my new clear indicator lenses - looks mighty fine!

Graham,

Thats exactly what happend with mone. I used some clear silicone to bond it baclk to the body and then used the string method which pulled most of the rubber back over the grill. just had to used a bit of lubricant and gently pull the last bit over with a flat edge.
