My classic additions cover will blow off in high winds - the only reason it stays with the car at all is due to the locking wire underneath. Good job I bought the lock I guess but wasnt planning on using it all the time as the car is parked in the back of my drive in a safe area.

Guess there is no real fix for this but thought I would ask???

I've got one of the Leven covers, only covers the roof. However it is rock solid regardless of the wind.

Another thing to be aware - if the wind is high enough that it blows off, then it is high enough to chafe the laquer on the paintwork. If you catch it soon enough then it is easily polished out, but eventually would need a respray I imagine.
This is if you car is clean - if there is any muck at all on your car, then it will be sandpapered in no time....

I have the same problem with the Classic Additions light weight waterproof cover on my S2. The one central securing strap does not keep the front end of the cover on at all, and the front elastic is not secure enough. It has blown off several times on the front end. I have now resorted to roping over the bonnet to minimise this, with limited success.
Also I have noticed some small scuff marks on the front corner of the bonnet, which I think are due to the cover.

Phil
When i first bought the Chim a couple of years back it was outside for the first few months had the same problem easy fix was to make holes in the front and rear of the cover and use a couple of "bungee cords" the type you use for holding luggage on roof racks ect it will only "mark" the laquer if the cover is c##p IMHO Tony

cheers tony. did wonder about bungee clips but a little worried the cover would rip if i put a hole in it with the little eyelet things that are in place where the central lock is positionned?

Shnozz,
When I got my CA car cover they supplied two additional patches with plastic eyelets to enable you to fit another rope or bungee. I would suggest a caravan or camping centre might have something similar.
