Hi,
had my '98 Cerbera 4.5 in Halycon Midas Pearl, for nearly three months now, and just wanted to share my initial experiences with you guys. I bought it second hand from a private dealer for £23k after playing with the idea for months. I am over the moon with it, but i must admit i am still a little timid behind the wheel!

Problems so far - boot opened when going over 70mph, but i think i managed to fix it with a bit of brute force and WD40.
Handbrake leaves a lot to be desired - i avoid driving any route where a hillstart may be required!
Just once (when my Dad stalled it) the MIL light flashed incessantly, but has not done it since
Brakes squeak when braking hard
Slow puncture in front right tyre

Other than those little niggles, i simply love it. Its a beast and a real head turner! Any Cerbie owners meet up often around Milton Keynes area?

regards

Welcome aboard Greg!

I currently live in Milton Keynes, 'should' have
moved to Daventry yesterday, but am now here until
the end of January.

We get a few Cerbera's at the Northants TVRCC meeting
(possibly about to change venue again ) as well as
the Tring meeting, held last night.

I think some cars also met up at Dunstable Downs last
summer and then came up to Willen Lake.

Only seen a couple of other cars in MK, although I know
some owners live out on the fringes.

Not seen you about yet.. but have fun
and shout if you want to meet up.

Go create some weather...
It's a road legal Concorde!

Forget about the hand brakes. They are not going to work except on a level parking! The one on my 4.5 (& previous 4.2) is the same. Hillstart is a foot brake & throttle start.

Break squeal when it happens is thought to irremediable. I have it too. 4.5s are known to have it more, I think.

I currently have a slow puncture in front driver's side and the rear co-driver side. The fault (not yet fixed) appears to be a fracture of the rubber at the base of the valve & not the valve itself. The leak hiss can be heard by dangling the valve up and down like penis!

In the coming week it may get fixed. Wonder if you have the same fault with the tyre pressure.

None of it matters.

The handbrake problem can be sorted - The mod is either available now or in final tweaking -give Joolz (Joospeed) a call sometime for more info. Having tried it I have to say its improved the handbrake beyond belief! Before, that particular Cerberas handbrake could'nt hold it on a perfectly level surface.

A little demonstration "push" (before Joolz worked his magic) had the Cerbera rolling forward with shocking ease. Massively improved afterwards!!!

**No connection to Joospeed etc etc Just one of the many fortunate PH'ers who have met him and seen his work.
