Yes, last Tuesday in Bristol.

The opening video bit was st but as soon as Gervais came out he had me in tears of laughter, his stand-up craft has got better and his story telling and timing are just imense. It is Gervais's best stand-up show.

The bits about his theories on fat people nearly caused me to have a heart attack.

Also if Stewart Francis is the support act again you will be in for an awesome show, he was worth the ticket price alone.... I wasn't circumcised, I had to be circumnavigated

yeah, saw him in Bristol a couple of weeks ago aswell.

The opening video was really crap, not really sure what the point in it was?

The opening guy was really funny. I particularly liked the joke about blind dates biggrin

I didn't think it was his best one yet, but still definitely worth seeing.

As said above, the but about fat people was really funny. Was quite funny after looking at fat birds wearing leggings after he made a joke about it.

Now I'm thinking back on it, it seems a lot more funnier than it was at the time!

You know how every now and then you see a massive heffer in those stupid skin tight leggings? Well he was taking the piss out of them. It was funny after the show looking around to see who was wearing them, and then wondering do they feel a bit uncomfortable now he's made that joke.

You'll definitely enjoy! Some great stuff in there! The flying bit is hilarious aswell.

Not really a fan of Howard.

Everything he says seems to made into a sexual joke with a Cornish accent.

That's what she said.. ooh arr!

I didn't really like the last Gervais tour, I went to the FAME tour, and he seemed to spend more time swigging his pint than doing stand-up. He was only on for an hour frown

I know we all have different tastes, but you've just named two of the least funny people in the whole world. And you're paying to see them. hehe

I'm not having a dig at you, I think it's great how people have such different tastes. For example, I think Lee Mack is an absolute stand-up genius. But, I played his Apollo gig to my sister and she didn't even titter once!

I sincerely hope not.

Same character regardless of script/setting, same dreary droning voice regardless of script/setting, same inability to act himself out of a paper bag regardless of script/setting, repeat ad nauseam (hang on, he's done that as well).

I saw the previous two live ones.
The first had me in tears of lauhgter for ages.
THe one prior to this was st. H e had a half baked comedian on for about 40 minutes before him and was on stage for less than an hour.
I hated it and him.
Was it at least better than that one?

I've seen a LOT of comedians to be honest. my favorites are Justin Moorhouse and Russell Brand.

Even if you hate him, you HAVE to see Russell Brand live, a genuinely funny and intelligent bloke.

Justin Moorhouse is funnier than Peter Kay, Spikey, McGuinness, IMO.

I can also say I've been to see one of the most famous comedians of our time (Gervais) whether I liked him or not smile

I've always been a big Gervais fan so I was quite excited about going to see this; I saw it in Bournmeouth at the end of last year and the guy he had on before, can't remember his name, but was american and terrible; this was followed by Gervais who came out and gave an at best average performance.

To be honest I was a bit gutted, always thought of him as a great comedian, but just didn't think this was his best show. I guess between filming in Hollywood and writing scripts etc he doesn't have a massive oportunity to work on his stand-up act.

Hmmmm. Hard to say, as I haven't seen the others for a while, so can't fully remember.

As I said earlier, it's definitely worth a watch. The Noah's Ark bit is also very good.

Same here, I likened the experience to the saying 'never meet your heroes' I had such high expectations and they weren't really met.

Noah's Ark was the highlight though.

I still love his stuff, prob won't see him live again though.

You do reaise that it's a stand-up show! He isn't playing a character or acting.

Jeez if you're to thick to know the difference then your opinion isn't exactly valid.

It goes to show how brilliant his act is if people are fooled into believed that is really him.

Got to hand it to him, he's exploited his own weaknesses and built and empire from it.

Saw it last night at the NIA.
Must admit, I had read the early reviews and was ready for a let down.
However, it was hilarious and very close to the knuckle in alot of areas.
Obviously, he has tweaked the show since the early ones.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show.
