The hubby and I are moving to Hong Kong at the end of August smile But am trying to figure out what we have to do about paying personal tax here and what to do about our pensions. Can anyone recommend a Tax advisor either near Farnborough, Hants or up in London near Canary Wharf. Just hoping for a one off session to have it all explained.

Ta Muchly.

I'm in accountant in Farnborough but not an expert on international taxation. However, if you want a general chat about taxation, PM me.

Aha a recent pet topic of mine. I made the same move thankfully earlier in the year.
Don't expect to find one company that can provide advice in UK & HK.

I have a single pager I can send across which explains tax in HK which may prove useful.
Feel free to fire away with any HK questions you think of, I've probably been through them all.

Oh by the end of August the weather should have got better. It's 'interesting' right now.

Thank you both, rotate

Fieldl - if you could please send me the one pager that would be greatly appreciated!!! Glad to hear that you thought the move was a good idea. Am hoping the weather clams down before we get there as me and flying are not good friends right now - so do not fancy landing in the current 'interesting' weather eek

Eric Mc I will be in touch - I just need to sit down with the OH and get some questions - otherwise the stuff you will get from me will make no sense smile - and we've had a chance to look through the one pager.

Thank's again and I will let you know if we have any questions.

I'm not in the office all next week and I am at a client all day tomorrow - so Friday is the best day if you want to chat.

MrsJimothy - if you want advice on both the UK and HK then I can help you with the UK side of things and can put you in touch with my colleagues in HK. You do need to speak to someone in each country to fully understand the ins and outs. I am based in Reading so feel free to PM me.
