Weekend away ideas?

Can anyone recommend a good hotel / spa / manor house where my wife and I can go this weekend for a nice relaxation and some activities (shooting / 4x4 etc)?

Not sure about activities but if your after wow factor. Elvetham heath hotel is hard to beat.

not stayed no, went to a conference, then made the mistake of showing it to the GF, now apparently we are getting married there...

Eamon holmes got married there a few weeks back. If you google the wedding you will probably get more pics etc.

Dam - there is a wedding on there this weekend so I'm back to the drawing board!

have you tried the secret hotel london thing on Lastminute.com??

me and the GF have done it on a number of occasions. Last time we ended up in a brand new 5* place a stones throw from St Pauls cathedral!!

time before that was the millenium gloucster rd, which was 1 street away from natural history museum.

i like it tbh, adds an air of excitment and there are always things to do in london.
