Wrecked my inboard in my boat last week. Wasnt winterized properly and old jack frost bit not only my ar@e ! Its a 1998 mercruiser 4.3 v6 but cant find out if its a 2bbl or a 4bbl or which model it is ? The boat is about an hour or so away, but i'll need to go and try and find a seriel number or something, just hate the thought of driving up and not being able to go out in her. Need to replace ,been on ebay looking at recons as a new 4.3 bobtail is about £9.5k fitted !!!!!!!

That looks like a Chevy V8-sized engine bay to me if that helps.

Two barrel or 4 barrel refers to the number of chokes/throttles in the carb so remove the air filter and take a look. There will be an engine number somewhere if you look around.
