Well it looks like my PC has packed up for the 100000000th time!

Specs are:

Intel E8400
Gigabyte EP43-DS3L
4GB OCZ PC2-6400
EVGA GTX260
Samsung 1TB & WD 500GB
Creative X-Fi

Every time it gets to verifying DMI pool data and just before it hands over to GRUB for my dual boot the machine restarts grumpy

Anyone got any ideas? Seems to be a rather uncommon fault seeing as the whole thing was fine yesterday...

Is it stable without any disks connected?

Obviously it wont boot but does it still restart?

It comes up with the standard boot failure message, methinks maybe Windows has overwritten the MBR?

You've probably sorted it by now but..

Can you boot from a CD boot disc?
