Best place to sell a camera lens?

Not an advert!

I have a 100-400 that I do not use and wanted to know whether any recommendations on best place to sell it. I did not want to use the bay of e since I have heard the fees can be huge. Gumtree only led to some very odd/shifty people and not something I want to repeat on something this expensive.

Why don't you just price it including the ebay fees so you'll get the same at the end?

You'll definitely get the best deal when you sell privately. Try the classifieds section here or other photography sites. If you are part-exchanging, some shops might give pretty decent deals.

Also note that when you have the whole world fighting for it, the selling price can be high enought to offset the 15% or so fees. I bought a lens from Grays of Expensive for £200 and sold it for £220!

I did well selling a lens on here. Gone probably within a week.
