Best place to buy a domain from

As per the title really, need to register a domain name but there are so many co's on the web offering this service?
Don't need anything flashy, just want to own the domain name and have an email account for it. '.com or co.uk
anyone got any recommendations?

I have also used 123 reg in the past without problems, just find reg1 easier.
Saying that I couldn't get Reg1 to work with Wordpress, so ended up using FatCow.

I've always used 123-reg and not had any issues either.

When I first used then I asked what I now realised are pretty basic questions and they answered my questions, without any form of patronising, promptly and effectively.
