My car was getting serviced today and so was dropped into brighton city centre. After a bit of cooing over the Ipad and Iphone4 i decided that i wanted to see Toy story 3. It wasnt on, but Piranha 3D was smile

I have to say i loved it. It is simply so gruesome its fantastic. It shows you a load of naked girls dancing at s lake, combines that with a load of horribly violent and graphic deaths and some good use of classic horror sound and 'jumpiness'

If youve got nothing to do and fancy a good laugh with some mates go see it, it doesnt try and pretend its anything special, just a hash and slash horror movie with a bit of suspense and some truely horrific scenes. Good cameos too.

kelly brook gets her norks out and those firmiliar with the internets will recognise some other girls too

Does anyone know if this is playing in non-3D? Can't be bothered with all that glasses nonsense.

Reviews seem to be saying that this is a total laugh riot and a real throw back to the cheap & nasty 80s straight to video Jaws rip offs. However, some of the action is meant to be very, very gross.

I had decided I wasn't going to watch this, but I stopped round a friends yesterday just as he was about to head out to watch it. So I joined him. Glad I did.
Funny, stupid film. Lots of gore. Loved the cameo at the start of the film.
Loved the underwater 'mermaid' type scene with Kelly and Riley. If I get it on dvd, I'll be playing this part over and over and over and over and over!

...and I'll be using the freeze-frame and zooming options a lot! wink

Liked the film a lot - classic, '80's B-movie.

I'd check the spare room is made up before you head out. It's such a hassle changing sheets and stuff late at night. hehe

You might want to reconsider that one.

Spoiler Alert!!!!!

I'm led to believe that there is a 3D vomiting scene, i.e. coming straight at yer!! So you may want to reconsider unless you like the sofa or squelching through half digested popcorn on the way out the cinema

I dislike 3D. Now I've tried it, I can say I don't like it.

The film was great though. I really enjoyed it in the same way as I enjoyed Snakes on a Plane.

Instead of Snakes, a plane and the air, you have Piranha, boats and a lake.

Instead of Samuel L Jackson as the cool black guy, you have Ving Rhames. (Sounding and acting just like he did as Marsellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction.)

Instead of one unknown (to me) white kid as the star, you have another unknown (to me) white kid as the star.

There are more boobs in Piranha though, and more gore.

It's not a girly film by any stretch of the imagination, but it is great!

Having seen the trailers for this I wasn't that interested in seeing it. Having now heard it is like American Pie (the boobs at least) I want to see it.

Err, it's not really that much like American Pie. It's a 1980s gore/horror film.

I went to see this last night with some mates including the wife.

If you take it on face falue as an 80's shock gorefest with a hint of 3D, a spattering of humour (and lots of boobs, bums and brook) then your onto a winner.

I didnt expect the Mrs to come away saying she enjoyed it but she did.

...with LOTS of boobs and a healthy dose of 'girl-on-girl' action! smile

Just seen it. Rubbish plot, rubbish script, but as a homage to B movie horrors it is fantastic and if you fancy 90 mins of mindless entertainment, and a naked Kelly Brook, go see!
