There is a song out there which sounds very similar to Ascent yet I'm pretty sure it isn't, I last heard it on Saturday's X-Factor.

Would appreciate any help in trying to identify it!

i didnt see it but at a guess id say sigur ros, hoppipolla. they usually play that and it has ascent qualities imo

Wow, twas a lucky guess as I don't watch the x-factor. It's the end credits to "Heat". On a side note, it is one of 2 songs I would get played at my funeral, alongside "Into Dust" by Mazzy Star
