OK, maybe the PH massive can settle this discussion:-
In the series 'Goodnight sweetheart' (Yeah OK, I know) Gary was a time traveller who flipped between the 1940's and the present day.
He had a wife in each time zone!
Does this make him a bigamist?
My argument is that to commit bigamy you have to be married to both women at the same time, his two wives were 50+ years apart!

Over to you!

no idea but the one in the 'past' was way way fitter and not a ball ache like the future one

Great program.

However it is bigamy because they were both in his lifetime therefore it still counts. The fact that he was in different times is irrelevant.

The past one could conceivably still have been alive in the present day so yes it was bigamy.

It's only a crime if you get caught, let's face it with time separating the two no court in the land is going to convict him, the evidence is never going to stand up, the witnesses are 50 years apart, besides, how do you prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

Relatively speaking.

I was not too bad a sitcom for its time (haha).
The thing that really spoilt it for me was the constant cringingly licking up to the Labour Party that oddly makes it look so dated (1993-1999 according to Wiki).

Except he sort of didn't, WWII being before the present day. Either way that surely does not matter does it?

In the final episode you find ou that his first wife (present day) is in fact his own granddaughter.

So its worse than just plain bigamy.

Both wives 'changed' during the series!
I never heard the present day wife being his grandaughter thing!
