how to transfer ipod to a mac?

Hi,

i used to use idump for the pc which was fab but now have a new mac and want to transfer 2 ipods music to its library. Whats the easiest and free way?

Are you comfortable using the terminal (command line window)? If so, there's a simple command or two that will copy all the music off the iPod. I found the details on a google search.

If you have an external drive, just copy the iTunes folder over to the new computer and swap for the one iTunes has made, and start iTunes. Or you could use something like sharepod.

Ah, bks... You're on a mac! boxedin

Do you have access to the original iTunes folder? By fae the easiest way to transfer is a simply copy and paste job... Or if you have homesharing turned on, you can simply highlight everything, and hit 'import'...
