Mrs kiwi has been at ebay again, and this time we have a sofa to collect from Manchester, and 2 large chairs from Preston. Both need delivered to Glasgow.

Who would you suggest I try to get the job done with collection sometime in the next week?

TIA

Paisley Freight - just booked now. Collecting tomorrow, and 24 hour delivery... £29 eek

Tried Shiply, but 3 quotes were £59,£67, and £80.

Christ that's good. Could lie in a coffin and send yourself. Cheaper and better than a train.

A friend of mine once asked me to help move his elderly parents to their new house. So I turned up with a van.

We stood in the front room of their house and patiently waited while they argued about which items of furniture they were going to take. After about 15 minutes of listening to them bicker over the sofa out of nowhere I suddenly said:
"Speak now or forever hold your three piece".

Funniest thing I've ever said in my entire life, and completely wasted.

Yup, I got 4 tyres delivered to the other end of the country for under £9 - stunningly good service - used them 3 times now and never failed to come through.....interestingly it was a citylink van which turned up last time, but however they are getting it done its cheap and fast!

frown PART FAIL frown

Paisley Freight wouldn't collect the sofa from Manchester as it was furniture

They did however pick up the 2 lounge chairs from Manchester for the same price on the same day.

irked

...Back to wait on Shiply, unless anyone has some more ideas?
