I don't know if I am breaking any PH rules regarding advertising here (nothing in it for me, just a happy customer!), but I very nearly bought Microsoft Office 10 Home and Student from amazon for £80. In with the reviews for another product, there was a link to a website called 'software4students'
I logged into this site, and my stepson and daughter now have the full Office 2010 Professional Plus for £40 each! You simply create an account and see if your children's school is on the list that is eligible (all UK schools seem to be)

This is the link if anyone's interested;

http://www.software4students.co.uk/

If you have kids, you can save a fortune in office, design and OS software!

I got Office for Mac 2011 from them a couple of weeks ago, £40! It's £110 on the Apple website!

You don't "have" to be a student either...

Apparently they check the eligibility of the 'students' in 3% of orders.

Uni students are eligible to.

Even works with primary schools apparently.

Hurrah.

I knew of the site but hadn't considered using them for operating systems.

7 Ultimate for £58 seems like a steal.
