GT5 Load time for GT events, faulty disc?

Hi folks

how long should it take to load GT events? I've waited for over 10 minutes
& all I get is the GT logo on my screen, the music finishes & nothing? Arcade races take approx 1-2 mins to load

Ive a 160g PS3. It is not connected to the net

Ive played NFS & Prologue without any issues.

Have I got a faulty disc?

Something's definitely not right.....takes about 30s to load events on my 80gb...

Cancel and try again.
Try disconnecting the Internet connection to see if it makes any difference.
