On account of the weather and the fact that i've nearly gone A over T a few times already i spotted these on the bay and think i might get a pair, just for knocking about in really..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cabotswood-Malvern-Boot-/140...

For when wellies would be a bit OTT and normal shoes not quite enough...

Most of my shoes are leather soled so are pretty lethal when there is snow/slush/ice.

Anybody got a pair of these kind of leather wellie jobs?

You can't beat a pair of 6 inch Timberland boots. Warm, waterproof and not easy to slip in.

Those look good, if somewhat too good to be true when the RRP of Cabotswood boots is £150+.

I have a pair of Dubarry's and love them (a present thank God).

yes

+ yaktraks when the snow gets packed down to sheet ice

having said that...even 3 - 4 months of of snow and ice doesn't get some of the local ladies out of their ubiquitous high heels! rotate

Get yourself over here:

http://www.timberlandonline.co.uk/men-collections-...

They cost a bit but will last you forever so are well worth the money. Bought a pair of Tackhead boots years ago and although they need re-heeling look as good as new.

Also they're way cooler than all that Superdry crap so you won't end up looking like everyone else. Bonus!

Bought my current pair of Timberlands in 2001 and they are the only footwear I'll use in these conditions smile
