Hello all

Wonder if anyone can help. My grandfather died recently and I need to tidy up his house before it can be sold. The old boy was a heavy smoker, and although the house is structurally sound, the carpers, walls, and ceilings are minging. The situation is slightly more complicated as I am abroad with work at the moment.

Does anyone know a rough price to carpet a two bedroomed, average sized, terraced house? Off the top of my head, its a living room (15 x 15 feet or so), two bedrooms, hall, stairs, and landing. As I'm away, I need someone to do it for me. The carpets don't need to be superb, just enought to make it appealing for a first time buyer.

Cheers, Paul

Bugger me that's cheap! I've just paid more than that for one room. I've got the rest of the house to do before we move in. Can you PM me their details?

My guy is based in Lancashire so may be a little far away from you if you live down south. He specialises in buying remnants, roll ends and liquidated stock and works out of a small industrial unit near me.If you asked him to carpet a 2000sq ft house all in a particular colour then he's not your man,but if youre flexible on colour and only want a room doing or a small house then thats his specialty.A lot of the local landlords, people with a few properties they rent out like myself in the area use him and he is always extremely busy.

I've jsut paid £110 for two bits of carpet, one for a room 3.9 x 3.8m

The other room is 3.2 by 3.4m. These were roll ends and I did compromise on colours to get teh price that cheap. Used World of Carpets in Luton.
