We have a freestanding cooker with a gas hob. Come to cook dinner tonight and the flames on the hob have noticeable yellow tips, same for all four rings. The flame has been perfect blue previously. Google tells me this is due to insufficient oxygen with the gas.

How do I fix it? I've been doing loads of dusty DIY over the last few days so I think this might be the cause of the problem. I'm going to clean all the rings, anything else I can look at or do I need to call a Gas Safe chap?

Take all the rings off and give it a clean. It is the first thing I would do

Sounds like a lack of primary air. Give it a good clean.

Cleaned the burners. Problem solved, the flames are nice and blue again. Must have been dust.
