My floppy 3.5 inches.....
Discussion
Sorting out the office and I've found about 150 of the damned things.
Is there a use for these now, or are they just good for the garbage? I won't use them; I'll check the ones with data to see if there is anything useable (although I doubt it as they must have been sitting there for nearly 10 years and if I haven't needed it in this time it probably won't be of import) but half seem to be unused.

They're still popular in factories and laboratories for older systems such as; CNC machines and Oscilloscopes etc where they need a floppy to transfer information.
There was an article (I think on BBC), where operators were complaining about the disk manufacturers stopping production.
If you have to spend £100k+ to upgrade a machine £2 on a floppy seems nothing.

Pull the metal sliding guard off, and collect all the springs. They're ace for removing splinters and sticking into the gaps between your teeth.
Can you do both at the same time???T40ORA said:
