Nothing 'super' about it, so I'd like some help if possible. I've followed the instructions to the letter, despite being very computer literate. I have gone and bought a USB wireless adapter for the second PC (the pc next to the hub is connected by an ethernet cable) but it's ridiculously slow.

I have set up the network exactly how it should be done but it gets disconnected every 10 seconds and then randomly connects for a few minutes but runs slower than a 56k dial-up. Then packed up altogether. The hub is around 7 or 8 meters away from my wireless adapter in a different room. I've gone back to the ethernet cable running in to the room I'm in again, any ideas whats wrong with the wireless?

Cheers in advance thumbup

Interference from other devices most likely, change the wireless channel on the router to one that is not used by all your neighbours.

Install http://www.netstumbler.com/ on the PC with the wireless connection to see what channels are in use nearby
