I finally got round to getting a new phone and have ordered a iphone 4, yes there may be better phones but I wanted one.

Every other person I see who has one has a little protective rubber case, sum with silly trye makes going across the back but can anyone recommend a protective case?

I've got one of these...

Clear plastic and you can hardly see it. Bit of a bugger to use the volume controls though but it's no big deal smile

Just upgraded my phone at new year and went with the following options for the case...

PhoneDevil cyrstal screen protector for the front - £8 from Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003VPV9JW/ref=...
Black bumper case £3.49 from Amazon -http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003WRJBXU/ref=oss_product
Customised skin with MPower logo for the back and sides around £10 from intoro skins

I wanted something that was not bulky so the protector and sticker for the front and back and the bumper to protect the glass from smashing if I drop it. The intoro skins come with stickers for the sides so this protects that from scratching which you will get from the bumper or any case rubbing against it.

A lot of people with cases got them free when they bought the phone (to attempt to sort the signal issues out). I got one this way, would never spend £20 on one.

I've found that some cases do more damage than they're worth. Dirt/grit gets inbetween the case and phone from your pocket/etc and over time 'grinds' little scratches all over the back and sides of the phone.

So you would have a £500 phone but not buy a £20 phone to protect it?? thats a bit odd isnt it.

Got the defender case in the mail today, was a pig to dimantle to put the phone in it but once in nice strong case so well worth the money i say

Which part of my quote needs clarification to warrant your comment?? Odd. Not that your question actually means sence in the first place!
