Kind of interesting that there is a mixture of classes there. Do you know if this was final practice?

I was wondering if the Ferrari 550 was in the same class as the 'vette as it's a bit of a big old lump! What about the 360s?

This was final practice from yesterday afternoon. The vette and ferrari's where all running about 3:55 in the morning, but the vettes ran 5 seconds faster in the afternoon. I suspect that they ran the vettes on a full fuel load in the morning and then ran a more qualifying setup in the afternoon, either that or the new Michelins work better after a good French lunch!

Hope you enjoy the trip back from Austria.

BTW Malc the 550s and the 575s are in the GTS classs the same as the C5-Rs, the 360s are in the GT class the same as the Porsches and TVRs. Best time that they tend to manage is 4 minutes plus.

Excellent news! That's a lot of minutes over a few hundred laps. Taking Corvette reliability as read of course. Fingers crossed!

Noteworthy that the 550's (assuming they are the Prodrive developed cars) are still faster than what I understand to be the factory 575's.
