A while back I fitted had new Michelins allround. At the time I noticed that ATI had, irritatingly,
repleced my original neat black plastic valvecaps with some shiny chrome ones. I thought blast the NCRS will give me a points deduct in 20 years time, then forgot about it. They also had a six sided bolt type head, presumably to encourage trainee tyre fitters to tighten them with a wrench rather than their fingers.

So of course yesterday during my 40K service at Frosts the mechan ic could not turn one and decided to give it a quick twist with a spanner, and broke the the valve. So I now have a general valve and have to go all the way back to bloody Worthing to get the proper valve(with tyre pressure sensor) fitted and am driving around with wheel that needs balancing. Grrhh

Thanks for the tip. Had 2 tyres recently and got the metal valve caps. I'll change them now you've said that!
