Hi Guys iv a HP G62 Laptop, when I turn it on i get this message,

Checking file system on c:
The type of file system is HTPS.

One of your discs needs to be checked for consistency. You may cancel the disc check, but it is strongly recomended that you continue

I ignore this by pressing enter, when I get to my home screen, another little icon pops up, heres a print screen,

And another,

Opinions please, should I allow the Laptop to do its checks ?

Yes, let it do the scan, don't skip it.

Yes.

It sounds as though you have possibly bumped it, causing some minor disk corruption.

chkdsk will usually fix it, no problem, unless it's a system critical file (which it doesn't appear to be).

Don't forget to uninstall any other anti virus you may have.

Google for CCleaner to clear out the clutter from your pc and I prefer Firefox, but you may be happy with IE. Just so long as your Windows are up to to date then IE will be mostly fine.
