ARGHHHHHHHH! Spitting feathers having just spent 43 minutes of my life on the phone to Sky Customer Services. Moving house in 2 weeks time so if I phone up 4 days beforehand they will close my existing service, this bit I like, but to set up the new service I need to give them two weeks notice hence the call today.......but they won't take the new order until the old service is closed! So which ever way I do it I'm without a phone and broadband for two weeks over the time I am moving house! Am I the only person who thinks this sucks?
Anyone else moved house with Sky Broadband / Phone? Similar experience?

We are having exactly the same. The parents moved on Friday and wont have a phone or internet for a few weeks. I'm only able to post this because I'm at university at the moment. Quite pathetic really.

We used to be with virgin for phone,tv and broadband, and when we moved we told them where we were moving too, and i got this response
"OH great Mr Slopes, we'll send an engineer out to re-connect you at your new address"

great thinks i, except, we aren't in a fibre optic area, but it took me a 2 weeks of farting about ringing the useless fkers to get this out of them, then, they tell me it's cable broadband, and they'll send me the stuff to connect the computer up myself. Great, no problem, that took another 3 weeks to arrive. Then when the wireless router wigged out, their response was
"oh, just stick an ethernet cable in it, that will work"
"but i want wireless ability"
"its working, that's all we are concerened with"

Honestly, they are just as bad as sky

Yea, that's why I now have Freesat and get my phone and broadband from O2, although after moving it did take literally 3 months to get a phone line installed!
