Odd Power Cut

Had a bit of a bizzarre power cut in the early hours (1am). The power (I guess this was voltage) initially dropped (for around an hour) whereby a number of appliances ceased to function whilst others (phones) started bleeping, oven fan came on and lights (all low voltage) just about managed a flicker. The streetlights were all still on. Then all the power went out for about 20 minutes before recovering to normal.

Would/could this have damaged anything (apart from my night's sleep)??
