Any of you guys with oldies have experience of these. I have heard stories of carbs icing in all but the warmest weather. The Engine Factory who are building my crate motor fit them and are reluctant to change to say a performer since they reckon it will cost a lot in hp, he actually quoted an 80hp drop which I found hard to believe. The other query I have is will it fit under the stock bonnet of my 70 with a low rise filter?
