Stolen Rolex paperwork

I was burgled at Christmas and have only just found that the box and all the paperwork have gone.My question is can these things be replaced?

The box and instructions etc you could probably source from ebay but the important thing here is the certificate for the watch,and Rolex do not issue replacements.

In my view the next best thing is if you are thinking of getting rid of the watch then send it to Rolex for a service and they will issue a service guarantee certificate which will detail the serial number of your watch and show any potential buyer that your watch has been to Rolex,which should verify that the watch is genuine,and also have the reassurance of a 12 month guarantee.

Not an expert in any way on this but might also be worthwhile informing Rolex that the papers have been stolen and you are the rightful owner plus supplying further info as proof of the burglary so that if one with the same serial number appears on ebay or whatever with box and papers, or comes in for a service, they'll know it's a fake and can notify the police?
