I think their behaviour is way above average. They give me no trouble whatsoever. I've always considered that only bad drivers have problems with hgvs and as time has gone on that opinion has only gotten stronger.

I have to say I seem to encounter two different world's of driving; there is the one on PH, and there is the one I experience in real life, and for whatever reason the two are emphatically not the same.
You would think they are above average !!Their driving is way above what you consider to be good or are capable of .

Whats up with you .

What do you mean "give a percentage ?

What about a lot or some or a minority ??

Who kin cares what percentage ?

Some/a lot /a minority left hookers are uk owned and driven .

And who cares if they do not ever give you a problem !

Wheres your proof ?

What evidence do you have ?
You made the statement. You said "lot of left hookers are in fact english with english drivers".

That is news to me, I haven't heard or read anywhere that a lot of those trucks in the south east of England are in fact driven by English drivers.

I'm simply asking how you know that and what do you call 'a lot'?

I spent some 3 years trucking around central south and se England and I would say that the overwhelming majority of left hand drive trucks are foreign, and I'm going to be surprised to learn that a lot of the drivers were English given that an eastern european is going to be far cheaper to employ.

A lot may have been a poor choice of descriptive ,some I suspect ,would have been a better one.

I am led to believe that, due to the amount of time spent abroad a left hand drive truck is sometimes a better choice for the british owner.

I doubt ,given the present economic situation ,that my previous information regarding the ethnicity of the driver may or may not be strictly current .

Excuse me if I'm wrong but are we nearly agreeing ??

I certainly agree with the foreign trucks aspect but with the proviso that a lot of left hookers are in fact english with english drivers .
A few years ago this may have been true, now very few left hookers are piloted/owned by English drivers/companies. There is little money to be made on the continent unless you are specialising in something. It cheaper to have an EE truck drive from the far side of Europe, collect the goods in the UK and take them back again.

So may truckers go around claiming to be "professional drivers". If they make that claim then their behaviour should be above average. You just cannot have it both ways.
You do know what professional means? It has nothing to do with behaviour or ability.

Of course I do, but the context in which truck drivers use the terms is "we are professional drivers, therefore we are better"
