This is about PH-er tbops, who was the brother of Michael Boparan, a drug dealer and collector of exotic cars.

In the boot of the Rolls:

Once had a client that paid in cash. Arrived in his Veyron and pulled out a Gucci bag filled with bundled 50's. Not quite as much as in the Rolls but it was in the 10's of thousands!

Well you are a very silly boy for excepting it, unless you like being implicated in potential money laundering cases.

I know someone in the motor trade who had a very uncomfortable time explaining in court why he was nothing to do with his clients who had paid in cash, nearly did a stretch along with them...

Indeed, although I know it wasn't an uncommon occurance for buyers to turn up with a bag of cash at a few of the local dealerships to us in the early 90s, and was gladly accepted then!

Absolutely agreed. You don't have to be part of the criminal gang, just taking the money without doing the required checks is an offence, Itself carrying a hefty jail term.

Maybe, but it tends not to last long for people who earned millions easily, they also spend it easily. When the income stops, the spending rarely does and it doesn't take long to blow it all.

I'm not. It's just a genuine observation though. One of my neighbours was sent down about five years ago for dealing. It was unbelievably obvious and only a matter of time as he was too stupid to keep his sudden wealth under wraps. He even had a spread in Lancashire Life the daft tt! He's now lost everything, both homes have been confiscated but will never sell until the local team get back into the Premier League as anyone with any taste would need to start and a fortune ripping them out and starting again.

He's got no money at all, as he couldn't make what little he had secreted away last very long.

Are you sure? A quick Google suggests he did about 2 years and the £5.5million POCA figure was reduced to £340k?

All I know is the houses aren't his anymore. Whether he got away with it is up to him, although I hope not as being rewarded for criminal activity isn't ideal.
