what did sambaman get banned for in the first place? i made some fairly innocuous remarks in a thread that he was posting on ages ago & within hours i'd had a text message from someone connected to SP&TL warning me off. this even though i live in a completely differnet part of the country & have had (& will unlikely ever have) any personal dealings with him.
the general gist of it was that he wouldn't take kindly to my "gentle" ribbing.

No,you were wrong in that thread,you completely ignored the fact that hobo had started with a quite personal insult,and sambamans response was provoked by that.it seems you had an issue with him anyway and some of your comments turned out to be correct,but in that particular thread you were wrong,the fact that he turned out to be a tool doesn't mean you were right in that thread,had hobo not made a rather strong personal attack...something along the lines of saying sambaman had been graffitied upon sambaman would not have called hobos wife ugly and you wouldn't have had anything to post.
