Near the roundabout next to the closest bus stop there is a bungalow with a white 996 with blue stripes in the drive (GT3?).
I really did think it was a Beetle at first!
That's the one. Lots of pics of his bungalow and all the cars on his drive in the public domain

What about if the said "mate" was close enough to act as a character reference for the perpetrator in court? Surely that would indicate that he knew what kind of person he was... or should have known.

Maybe the said "mate" can share his thoughts on that?
Seeing as my comments were taken apart by one or two on here, I would be interested to know if this is the case. That said, it is driven by idle curiosity, nothing more.
I have it on good authority that this is the case. I notice that John from Specialist Cars of Malton ( johnnywishbone) is reading/commenting on this thread. Perhaps he can clarify the situation.

Might be best if he didn't. You wouldn't want an appeal to be at risk, should the convicted wish to lodge one. Less info shared by participants at a trial, the better, at least until all appeals, etc are complete?

And a character witness I'd just that - a witness to what they saw... They are basing their evidence on their interaction with someone, nothing else... And under oath...

That house is hilarious. It's like someone has dropped a pensioner's bungalow into the grounds of an Essex mansion. The garage must be worth more than the house (even without the exotica inside it).

I believe RudeDog said character REFERENCE not witness, and what would he appeal? He pled guilty didn't he? surely they won't give him any less time in her majesty's hotel?????

Fair point, but he could still appeal length of sentence. Oh, and you can be possible to appeal against your conviction, even if you plead guilty....

God he'd have to be bonkers to do that. He would be out of the big house and tucked up back in his company director's council bungalow before he even got an appeal date.

I had the most horrible dream about Keith last night, he turned up at BTaP! Kinky angel Garlic we saying I don't know how he got a ticket he must have bypassed the system!
But I could tell Keith had been in my room and I was running all over trying to escape, trying to eat my dinner - which was spider crab and lobster!

Then I was back in a dental surgery that only had armchairs and I kept rubbing my boobs on the patients head while my dentist was watching! redface

Do we have any therapists in the house frown

Couple of pages back -

We were as shocked and appalled as anyone to read of the actions and subsequent conviction of Keith Turner. Keith was indeed one of our customers and bought and sold several cars through us. We had no idea of his activities and want it to be clear that we condemn his actions in the strongest possible terms.
We hope the victims involved can make a full recovery and wish them all the best for the future. The deal was done with four part exchanges and a small balance done by transfer !
