Blah blah blah. So you have 1 year NCD, and they are right.

If this is how you communicate with them I sympathise... with them.

^^^^^this.

The OP doesn't have a leg to stand on. The FOS will not be interested not least as he's just gone on a rant without even complaining to the broker once.

Plus he only has one years NCD whichever way you look at it.

Sorry been epic busy.
I started riding in 2010 on CBT insured bike in Sept let it run as no point in canceling so far into it policy ended in 2011
I then bought another bike in 2011 and rode that for a year policy ended in 2012.
It must be pretty obvious to you that, since it's not yet September 2012, you can't possibly have 2 years' no-claims discount since September 2010.

Few things,

Distance selling regulations you have a month to cancel without penalty, how long from set up to cancellation?

They have said your policy was not valid, therefore the policy was 'Not Taken Up' also means no cover provided so no charges due as there was no 'time on cover'.

At no time did anyone tell you that this wasnt going to be accpetable so mis sold etc.

If you dont want insurance with that company again you could probably let it be written off as bad debt, but you really wont get insurance from the broker or underwriter again if this happens.

Distance selling regs don't apply.

If he argues it was not in force then he is admitting to driving uninsured for that period.

Not interested in the years no claims or not, what I want to know is about canceling without being charged £112, sadly the policy is over the month or so, as I am not overly happy with these fluxers having cash from me

You've been given the answer - it's tough.
They have done nothing wrong and you have agreed to thier terms.
You cancel- you pay.

You've tried it on and it hasn't worked. NOt sure why you are angry with them, but hey-ho, it will cost you £112 to cut your nose off to spite your face. ENjoy

THe £112 is not a fee, it is the total you will have paid. £190 - £78 refund = £112. You will pay them a further £35 (cancellation fee) to get the £78 back.

Here is a radical idea. Why not pay the £51 additional premium. Then go somewhere else at the end of the policy year when you'll finally have accrued a second years NCD.

Or will we get another thread in 10 months time where you're adding up this two months to the next policy's 10 months and looking for a 3rd or even 4th years NCD.
