What are the upper limits on the 60mph section before they issue tickets on SPECS?
57mph because its a 50mph speed limit, not 60mph.

The SPECS at the Dartford Crossing are now live.
"Now" being relative. They have been live for a couple of months.

No idea of the current threshold for enforcement but, unless there has been a very recent (and drastic) policy change, you won't be hassled for anything lower than 10% plus 2mph over the limit.
If take this to be correct, then if I do 70 + 10% = 77 +2 = 79 I'm safe - this just about conforms to my rule of always sticking to the (80mph!) speed limit - I've never had a ticket (touchwood) at this, I don't overtake BiB at that speed tho'!

Except, if the above is based on true speed, I could do an indicated 77 / actual 70, plus 10% plus 2 which is an indicated 77 +7.7 + 2 = 86.7. In theory anyway. I won't try it in case there is a flaw in the logic!

Only if you're confident in your speedo/actual speed...

There is a 60 section for about a mile immediately after the A2 turnoff heading toward the tunnel

Only one gantry has the camera system. Same for c/w.
I'm sure that's not true. After the roadworks on the clockwise section after the junction for the A12, each gantry seems to have a set of gatsos and associated road markings on the road.

There's one set of gantry cameras on the M25 in each direction between jct 8-10 and they're between 8-9, 9-8. After jct10 is where the mine field starts...

Sorry, I was refering to the op's first post of the cameras between jct2 and 3 (a/w and c/w)

If going either way, if you see the cameras on the rear of the full width gantry on the other side, you will not have a camera untill the next gantry.

So really it is two gantries with cameras. only each one has one set of cameras.

Always a good idea to have an idea of how far out the speedo reads. Satnav GPS speed fluctuates less than the mobile phone, but they both show my speedo over eggs the speed. More so at higher speeds. My findings also correspond to those illuminated speed signs popping up round here.

Tyre wear plays a small part, so as the tyres wear the overread increases a tad.

Hence I could enjoy '81mph' in a 70 at the moment with reasonable impunity if I really wanted to.

Mine too, by quite some way at high speeds, sometimes as much as 5pmh differential.

My sat nav also has up-to-date speed trap database and it beeps at every single gantry, so I always play it safe on M25, but constantly surprised by the amount of exec barges going 90 - 100mph there.

That's because it beeps when you get near to the cameras on the opposite carriageway which may be at different locations from those you're passing under.

Ahh ok, makes sense. The ones I was taking about are going clockwise from dorking to Heathrow, which is the bit I use most of the time.
