A garage who I used to track mine had a clamp for the steering wheel to make in central when they tracked the front wheels. They did a good job IMO.

Is this commen practice? I could be wrong but I'm sure others garages haven't clamped the wheel which I think is odd.

While I'm on the subject. An Octavia I had, had a solid rear axle so I believe nothing could be adjusted at the back. How does this work with the fancy 4 wheels laser alignments?

I find that figure massive compared to the amount of threaded length the average track rod end has available.
