There's a lot of amdram about the state the cyclist was in, and I've yet to see anything that says anything other than they hit. Having clipped a great many things whilst out on a bike, some launching me into ditches and some giving me a shock, I'd be interested to know where 'lay in the road' came from in all of these stories.

genuinely, how empty must your life be if you really feel it necessary to post up something about an altercation you had with a cyclist? ?[/i]
[/quote]

As empty as the Muppets who post webcam footage of themselves getting into altercations with drivers. You know, the ones that are conveniently edited to show themselves as the victim!

o you wear a helmet whenever you travel in a car? Perhaps you should - your chances of brain injury are not insignificant in an accident.
Please give your thoughts, risk assessments and probable outcomes on a head to head 30mph vs 30mph between a seatbelt wearing car driver and a non-helmet wearing pedal-cyclist?
Rubbish comparison unless you are talking about sportive/competitive cyclists in head on collisions. In which case they will be wearing a helmet.

- Vast majority of cyclists are going to be doing somewhere between 8-15mph.
- Vast majority of cycling accidents are not head on.

I thought they only wore that daft lycra to feel like they are winning in the tour de france. It would appear he also wears it for formal occasions as well. Nice militant earings as well
Looks like a bit of a cock to me.

A bit of a cock indeed, with those ear rings he looks like a bellend.

Just my opinion of those stupid ear rings and the bellends who wear them.

Do you have anything educated to add to the debate or are you just as idiotic as the 2 participants in this 'accident'?

Well if she nearly cries in the interview the she must be telling the truth. Or something.
And the tweet says she knocked him off - not anything like what she says here.

This is the only reply you have made in this thread and its certainly not added anything of value.

So? "Looks a bit of a cock" and "I don't like his clothes" are about as relevant to the debate as your comment that I'm replying to, my comment, and the comment you were replying to. Just because someone hasn't spoken up so far it doesn't magically make their point invalid, and frankly if you think otherwise I'd strongly reconsider taking part in any debates that rely on consistent logic because everyone has to make a "first comment".

I don't give two sts what the cyclist or the girl look like, but what I do somewhat care about it how the girl's story changes from "definitely knocked him off" to "we just clipped". Stinks of bovine muck if y'ask me.

Edit: Also, she didn't say that almost killing a cyclist was her biggest mistake ever, she said tweeting about it was. Christ on a bike. What an ahole.

In all fairness I would be mightily surprised if he hasn't got something meant for his ear through his bell end.

Learn to read.

Randomthoughts, the line between "almost killing a cyclist" and "killing a cyclist" is fuzzy. So many factors influence whether the cyclist dies or not that two otherwise identical accidents can be either walked-away-from or actually lethal. To be so flippant over this only not the height of ignorance because of NH1 setting the bar in the stratosphere.

Having seen both the participants in this farrago interviewed, I very much doubt we have even got close to knowing what really happened.

They both came across as st for brains, vapid, mouth breathers and each deserves what they got IMO.
Why does he deserve to be hit? Self preservation tends to keep cyclists on the right side of country roads.

She says, he says, it's all a load of tosh. She's an idiot, he's an idiot.
Both of them in the wrong and stumbled onto national TV.

Still I liked her 'nearly' tears, and the guy managed most of the interview to look like a nearly normal human until the end when his mannerisms slightly go I told you so, in a 'Brittas' kind of way.
Fair play, they both got their 15 minutes of fame.

Later that morning, Miss Way's tweet read: "Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier. I have right of way - he doesn't even pay road tax!"

The comment included the hashtag #Bloodycyclists.

It was retweeted several hundred times and led to what a tearful Miss Way described as the public "judging me on one man's side of the story".

Lol.
